Aquaforest TestPro Ca is designed to quickly measure the calcium content in marine aquariums, freshwater aquariums, ponds or water tanks. To ensure proper functioning of the marine aquarium, calcium levels should be maintained between 380 and 460 mg/l (ppm). The set contains enough reagents to perform 55 to 65 determinations of calcium levels.
Aquaforest TestPro KH is designed to quickly measure carbonate hardness in marine aquariums. To ensure proper functioning of the marine aquarium, the alkalinity should be between 6.5 and 8.0 dKH for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS). Higher values are allowed for aquariums with higher nutrients. The set contains enough reagents to perform 78 to 100 carbonate hardness determinations.
Aquaforest TestPro Magnesium is designed to quickly measure the concentration of Magnesium (Mg) in seawater. Magnesium plays an important role in many biological processes, e.g. participates in the construction of the calcium carbonate skeleton of hard coral. Due to its unique chemical properties, it has a significant impact on the buffering capacity of seawater and also prevents excessive calcium carbonate precipitation on aquarium equipment. An adequate level of magnesium is crucial for maintaining a proper balance between calcium and alkalinity in reef aquariums. Mg levels should be tested regularly, along with other critical water parameters such as calcium and alkalinity. The concentration of magnesium in natural seawater is between 1260 and 1460 mg/l (ppm). The test kit contains enough reagents to perform approx. 55-60 separate tests in this range.
