Choose your Mag-Drive

Calculate the required flow rate, taking into account the head pressure. For every foot of head pressure, you lose approximately 10% of the flow rate. For a 100-gallon aquarium with a 4-foot head, choose a Mag-Drive 7 or 9.5 to achieve a flow rate of 5-10 times the volume per hour.

Interview

Clean the impeller every 3-6 months. Remove the pump, disassemble the body, clean the impeller and magnet with white vinegar. Rinse with fresh water and reassemble. A simple operation that takes 10 minutes.
