These Terms of Service govern access to the website reefsolution.com and any purchase made through our online store, operated by Aquariums Solution Récif inc. ("we", "our" or "Reef Solution").

By browsing the Site and placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, as well as our Refund Policy, our Shipping Policy and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your province of residence) to place an order on our Site. By making a purchase, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into this contract.

2. Products, Prices and Availability

All prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and do not include applicable taxes (GST, QST or HST depending on your province), which are added at checkout.
Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse or cancel any order, particularly in case of obvious pricing errors, stock shortages or doubts about the legitimacy of a transaction.
Photos are provided for reference only. As corals are living organisms, their appearance may vary depending on lighting and maintenance conditions (see our Refund Policy).

3. Technical Advice and Information

Technical advice provided by our team — in-store, by phone, by email or through our online content — is based on our experience and offered for informational purposes. The customer remains entirely responsible for decisions made for their aquarium, including the choice of species, compatibility, maintenance and acclimation.

Reef Solution cannot be held responsible for losses or damages resulting from:

incorrect application of our advice;
conditions or parameters specific to your system;
the behavior of animals already in your aquarium;
circumstances we have not been able to observe directly.

4. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Equipment: Equipment sold is covered by the manufacturer's warranty (Red Sea, EcoTech Marine, Aquaforest, Tunze, Aqua Illumination, Reef Casa, etc.). Reef Solution acts as an intermediary in processing warranty claims with the manufacturer. No additional store warranty is offered beyond the manufacturer's warranty.

Living organisms: The warranty is limited to our Dead on Arrival (DOA) policy detailed in the Refund Policy. No warranty is offered after acclimation.

Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reef Solution's total liability to you, for any cause, is limited to the amount paid for the product in question. We are in no event responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to: loss of pre-existing animals, damage to your aquarium or property, veterinary fees, or loss of enjoyment.

5. Customer Accounts

If you create an account on our Site, you are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for any activity carried out from your account. Notify us without delay at sales@reefsolution.com in case of unauthorized use.

6. Loyalty Program

Points accumulated in our loyalty program:

have no monetary value and cannot be converted to cash;
are not transferable between customer accounts;
may be used according to the conditions displayed at the time of redemption;
may be modified, suspended or terminated at our discretion, without notice, except with respect to acquired rights on points already accumulated as of the date of the change, which remain usable according to the terms in effect at the time of their acquisition (or equivalent terms as applicable), for a reasonable period following the announcement of the modification.

We reserve the right to cancel points obtained through error, fraud or abuse.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on reefsolution.com — including photos, videos, product descriptions, logos, texts and layout — is the property of Aquariums Solution Récif inc. or its authorized partners, and is protected by Canadian copyright laws.

Any reproduction, copy, distribution or commercial use of the content, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited without our prior written authorization.

8. Acceptable Use of the Site

You agree not to:

use the Site for illegal or fraudulent purposes;
attempt to bypass the Site's security measures;
automatically extract (scrape) content, prices or images;
interfere with the operation of the Site or other users;
publish false, defamatory or misleading reviews.

9. Force Majeure

Reef Solution cannot be held responsible for delays, interruptions or non-performance caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including but not limited to:

strikes, lockouts or other labor disputes (including those affecting carriers and suppliers);
computer failures, cyberattacks or third-party service interruptions;
extreme weather conditions, natural disasters or power outages;
pandemics, health restrictions or government decisions;
transportation, customs or supply problems.

In such circumstances, we will take reasonable steps to minimize impacts and keep you informed.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws in force in the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

In the event of a dispute, you agree that the courts of the judicial district of Laval (Quebec) shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights that consumer protection laws may confer upon consumers in their province of residence.

The French version of these Terms prevails in case of any discrepancy with this translation.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page. It is your responsibility to consult it periodically. Your continued use of the Site after a modification constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
