Antennarius pictus – The Wartskin Frogfish is an extraordinary and captivating marine fish, renowned for its distinctive warty skin texture and fascinating hunting behavior. Needs and care:
- Mature reef aquarium with robust filtration system
- Abundant live rock and varied scenery for camouflage
- Water temperature: 24-26°C (75-79°F)
- pH: 8.1-8.4
- Salinity: 1.023-1.025
- Carnivorous diet: live or frozen fish, whole shrimp
- Adequate space - can reach 15-20 cm
- Only suitable for fish of similar or larger size
- Avoid small fish that would be considered prey.
Important: It requires a specialized carnivorous diet and a suitable environment. Not suitable for community aquariums with small fish or small invertebrates.
