AquaticLife Classic 100 GPD — 4-Stage RO/DI Reverse Osmosis System 380 L/day Aquarium

$249.99

Available

The AquaticLife Classic 100 GPD Reverse Osmosis System is a 4-stage RO/DI unit that delivers up to 100 US gallons (378 L) of purified water per day. It removes dissolved metals and total dissolved solids from tap water, making it suitable for reef aquariums, SPS/LPS reef tanks and water changes.

4-Stage Filtration

  • Stage 1 - 1-Micron Sediment Filter: traps particles, rust and sand.
  • Stage 2 - Carbon Block + Catalytic GAC Cartridge: removes chlorine and chemical compounds from tap water.
  • Stage 3 - TFC 100 GPD Membrane: the core of the system, sharply reduces total dissolved solids (typical rejection rate 1:3.5).
  • Stage 4 - Color-Changing DI Resin: polishes the water for minimal residual TDS; the resin changes color when spent.

Key Features

  • Output: up to 100 GPD (378 L/day) under the manufacturer's optimal conditions.
  • Built-in 0-160 psi pressure gauge to monitor supply pressure.
  • Auto-Shutoff (ASO): stops incoming water when outflow is closed.
  • Manual flush valve to extend membrane life.
  • Clear cartridge housings to view cartridge condition.
  • Built-in wall mount bracket.
  • 1/4 in. Buddy-Fit press-fit connectors, garden hose adapter and wrenches included.
  • Polyethylene tubing included: 10 ft. of 1/4 in. blue, yellow and red.

Operating Conditions (AquaticLife specs)

  • Optimal water pressure: 40-65 psi. Below 40 psi, a booster pump is required. Above 80 psi, a pressure regulator is required.
  • Minimum pressure: 30 psi.
  • Optimal water temperature: 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). Maximum: 40.5 degrees C (105 degrees F).
  • Typical rejection rate: 1:3.5 (waste water to purified water).
  • Dimensions with bracket: 16.5 x 8.5 x 18 in. Weight: 14 lb.

Cartridge Replacement

  • Sediment cartridge: AquaticLife recommends replacing every 6 months.
  • Carbon cartridge (Carbon Block + GAC): replace every 6 months.
  • Color-changing DI resin: replace when all resin has changed color.
  • RO TFC 100 GPD membrane: monitor with the built-in pressure gauge; replace when performance drops.

Use in Reef Aquariums

In a reef aquarium, tap water contains phosphates, silicates, chlorine and metals that can fuel algae and stress corals. A RO/DI system produces water suitable for water changes and reef salt mixing.
