Plerogyra Sinuosa - Bubble Coral

The fascinating Plerogyra sinuosa coral, commonly known as Bubble Coral, is famous for its translucent, bubble-like vesicles that inflate during the day, creating a unique and soothing visual display in your reef aquarium.

Bubble corals are among the most recognizable and popular corals in marine aquariums. Their translucent, lime-green bubbles beautifully capture and diffuse light, creating an almost hypnotic effect. At night, the bubbles retract to reveal long, actively feeding tentacles.

• Water flow: Low (bubbles are delicate)
• Placement: Lower to mid-reef zone, with space for expansion

Plerogyra sinuosa are relatively easy corals to keep and adapt well to established reef aquariums. They require a location with ample space as their bubbles can expand considerably. Avoid strong water flow, which could damage their delicate vesicles.
