Red Sea ReefWave 45 Power Supply — Official Replacement PSU with LED R35242
Available
The Red Sea ReefWave 45 Power Supply (part R35242) is the official replacement power supply for the ReefWave 45 wave pump, with a power indicator LED. It is a dedicated part: Red Sea's official troubleshooting reminds owners of both models to check that the correct power supply is connected to the correct pump — the ReefWave 25 unit (R35231) is not the 45's, and the manual says to only use the power supply intended for the product.
Installation, per the manufacturer
Place the unit in a dry, ventilated area, connect the AC cable, check that the indicator LED lights up, then connect the pump's DC jack. As with any aquarium equipment, form a drip loop below the outlet so water cannot travel down the cord.
Red Sea does not publish detailed electrical specifications (output voltage and amperage) for this unit. If you see those numbers elsewhere, they do not come from the manufacturer — write to us with your exact pump model and we will validate the part before you buy.
Our advice
What kills a power supply is water and heat. Protect it from water that can run down — it is an aquarium, it happens — and never stack it on top of another power brick: it builds up heat.

Frequently asked questions
Can I plug the ReefWave 25 power supply into the ReefWave 45?
No. Red Sea lists two separate units in its spare parts table — R35231 for the 25 and R35242 for the 45 — and its official troubleshooting asks you to verify that the correct power supply is connected to the correct pump.
The LED on my power supply does not light up — what should I check?
The manual says to first check that the AC cable is properly connected and the wall outlet is switched on. If the LED stays off after those checks, the unit needs replacing.
Where should the power supply be installed?
In a dry, ventilated spot, with a drip loop on the cord — never under a drip point of the aquarium.
