Why the rounded corners aren't cosmetic

Reef Casa forms the box from a single sheet of acrylic bent with heat, rather than gluing flat panels together. The result: no sharp angle for a stressed fish to wedge itself into. A panicking fish bolts straight into a wall; in a square-cornered box, that's where it stays stuck. Here, the curve sends it back.

The mesh sides handle the rest: your display water flows through the box continuously. Your occupants sit at the same temperature, chemistry and salinity as the rest of the system — which is the whole point of a box that lives inside the tank rather than beside it.

The Mini and fry feeding

Reef Casa makes a specific point about the small size: by confining food to a tighter area, fry find it and eat it before it starts fouling the water. In a large volume, food scatters, fry miss it, and it rots. That's why the Mini exists.
