Feeding a coral without a syringe means dropping food into the tank and losing a good part of it: it takes off in the flow, it ends up in the filtration, and mostly it feeds your algae. With the Coral Chef you aim at the coral, place the food right on it, and it does the job. Clean and easy.

It means placing food directly on the coral instead of dispersing it into the water. The coral gets it, opens its polyps and eats, rather than watching it drift off in the current.
Does it work for fish too?
Yes. Reef Casa lists the Coral Chef for both corals and fish — handy for a shy fish that won't come up and fight for food at the surface.
Can I use it with frozen food?
Reef Casa doesn't specify a food type. A feeding syringe normally handles whatever passes through its tip: thawed, reconstituted powder, or suspension.
