With EHEIM reeflexUV you reduce the bacterial load and combat water turbidity better than before.

Optimize the health of your aquarium with EHEIM reeflexUV 350 UV sterilizers. Eliminate up to 99% of harmful bacteria, parasites and algae for a clean and safe aquatic environment for your fish. Guarantee of clear and healthy water with a safe and effective sterilization system.

reeflexUV constitutes a typical innovation for the EHEIM company: an incorporated reflector significantly increases the germicidal capacity of UV-C radiation. And, while in conventional UV sterilizers the water passes by detours in front of the UV-C tube, it takes the direct route in the EHEIM reeflexUV filter. There is therefore no loss of power. Less energy is required. And, the efficiency is 1.8 times better. The reeflexUV filter should only be used to support the filter, in order to reduce micro-organisms (germs, algae spores, etc.) in the aquarium. There are 5 models for aquariums from 80 to 2000 liters.

Advantages of the EHEIM reeflexUV sterilizer

  • Quickly and effectively reduces harmful germs in water and parasites dangerous to fish
    reeflexUV 350 = Maximum flow: 200 l/h
    reeflexUV 500 = Maximum flow: 400 l/h
    reeflexUV 800 = Maximum flow: 600 l/h
    reeflexUV 1500 = Maximum flow: 1000 l/h
    reeflexUV 2000 = Maximum flow: 1500 l/h

  • Combats algae and bacteria related disorders
    reeflexUV 350 = Maximum flow: 400 l/h
    reeflexUV 500 = Maximum flow: 800 l/h
    reeflexUV 800 = Maximum flow: 1200 l/h
    reeflexUV 1500 = Maximum flow: 2000 l/h
    reeflexUV 2000 = Maximum flow: 3000 l/h

  • Polished aluminum reflects UV-C light and ensures particularly effective disinfection
  • Excellent results with low power consumption (Efficiency multiplied by 1.8 compared to conventional UV sterilizers)
  • No loss of yield, as water is not diverted by special construction
  • Also ideal for breeding tanks, reduces the risk of infection
  • Bacteria fixed in the filter are preserved, because only floating germs are captured
  • Simple and safe handling and cleaning
  • AUTO-OFF: automatic safety shutdown when changing tubes
  • Simple attachment with included bracket
  • Variable mounting, no defined mounting position or flow direction
  • Accessories: EHEIM UV lamp, holder, ballast with power cord, 2x hose connector with ø 12/16 mm, 2x hose connector with ø 16/22 mm

Special technique for clear water and healthy fish
In a UV filter (also called UV sterilizer) the aquarium water passes in the form of a thin film past a UV-C tube. UV-C rays pass through water and kill germs, algae spores and other microorganisms.

In conventional systems the water is only treated by the rays on one side. EHEIM, on the other hand, has integrated a reflector, so that the water is penetrated on several sides by the radiation. Thus, significantly greater efficiency is obtained with reeflexUV.

Furthermore the water circulation system is not complicated in the EHEIM reeflexUV. The water is not diverted and flows smoothly around the tube. There is therefore no loss of performance.

The AUTO OFF system guarantees optimal safety. As UV radiation is dangerous for eyesight and skin, the reeflexUV switches off automatically when opened.

What else you need to know:
Compared to natural waters, the number of germs is relatively high in the aquarium due to the low quantity of water. They must be reduced and brought back to a normal value. However, the water in the aquarium cannot and must not be sterile (germ-free).

The UV sterilizer only captures free-swimming germs in water. Cleaning bacteria fixed in the filter (see biological filtration), those in the soil, etc. are spared.

Water turbidity due to bacteria or algae is very easy to eliminate with UV sterilization. In principle the growth of algae is also inhibited, because the spores are killed.

UV sterilizers generally ensure healthier fish, as the risk of infection decreases. A UV sterilizer is recommended for breeding tanks. Because pathogens often colonize eggs or infect young animals, which do not yet have enough defense forces.

UV sterilization generally does not create changes in water parameters.

The light source contained in this product is intended exclusively for the disinfection of aquarium water.
