Red Sea ReefControl Pro DLX Kit — Complete Reef Aquarium Controller with 4 ReefSense Probes
Available
The Red Sea ReefControl Pro DLX Kit is a complete reef aquarium controller bundle with four ReefSense sensors: pH, salinity, ORP and a leak detector. The kit costs less than buying the controller and the four sensors separately — and it adds the salinity calibration solutions on top of the pH 7 and pH 10 solutions already supplied with the controller. It is the most direct way to watch the four parameters that cause the most losses in reef keeping: salinity drift, temperature shock, pH drops and water damage.
What the ReefControl Pro DLX Kit monitors and automates
The ReefControl Pro is the flagship controller of the ReefControl family. According to the official Red Sea manual, the ReefControl Pro supports up to 4 ReefSense probes connected directly — and up to 7 with the 4-port expander, sold separately. Its ports are universal: any ReefSense probe plugs into any port with no programming. The ReefControl Pro also provides 2 controllable 12V DC outlets (18W max each) to run a cooling fan, a solenoid or a utility pump based on live sensor readings.
The whole ReefControl system runs in the ReefBeat app (Wi-Fi required): 24/7 monitoring, custom safe ranges, history logs and instant phone notifications the moment a parameter drifts out of range. One detail that changes maintenance: every ReefSense probe stores its calibration data in its own memory and calibrates remotely over Bluetooth — you bring the probe to the sink, not the controller to the tank.
What's in the box, per the official Red Sea manual
- ReefControl Pro controller (4 ports, expandable to 7) with a 4-port connector cable, 3 m (9.8 ft)
- ReefSense pH & Temperature probe
- ReefSense Salinity & Temperature probe
- ReefSense ORP probe
- ReefSense Leak Detector
- 3 single probe holders (shown in Red Sea's official kit diagram)
- pH 7 and pH 10 calibration solutions, salinity calibration solutions, calibration vials
- Mounting bracket, sump/wall brackets, 12V / 3.33A power supply

Probe warranty and lifespan — know this before you buy
Red Sea states in its manuals that pH and ORP probes are wear items: about 12 months of continuous use, with a 6-month warranty. The kit's pH probe recalibrates monthly with the included solutions; the ORP probe is validated every 2 months with a 460 mV solution sold separately. The salinity probe and the leak detector carry Red Sea's standard 24-month warranty, and the salinity probe needs no routine recalibration — only after cleaning.
What the kit does not do on its own
The ReefControl Pro DLX Kit does not switch 120V equipment directly: heaters, chillers and skimmers require the ReefControl Power 8 smart power center, sold separately. On its own, the controller drives its 2 low-voltage 12V DC outlets and monitors everything else. To group the kit's three probes in one spot in the sump, the magnetic 4-probe ReefSense holder remains the natural companion — the 3 included single holders do the job probe by probe.
Our advice
"Take control of your aquarium with the new Red Sea controllers. Red Sea didn't invent the controller: they looked at what was on the market and reinvented it better. These new controllers are much easier to program, and more options will come with time. Red Sea hit hard with this lineup — several models to match your budget and your preferences." — Stéphane, ReefSolution
Frequently asked questions
How many probes does the ReefControl Pro support?
Per Red Sea's official troubleshooting guide: 2 probes on the Lite, 4 on the Pro, and 7 on the Pro with the ReefSense 4-port expander. The DLX Kit fills all 4 of the Pro's ports out of the box.
Can the ReefControl Pro DLX Kit control a heater?
Not by itself. Switching 120V devices (heater, chiller, skimmer) requires the ReefControl Power 8, sold separately. The kit monitors temperature and alerts you, but automatic 120V shutoff needs the Power 8.
Can I move a probe from one controller to another?
Yes. Red Sea confirms every ReefSense probe keeps its calibration in onboard memory: it moves between ports or controllers without recalibrating.
Is it normal for pH to swing during the day?
Yes. Red Sea notes that a daily swing of 0.1 to 0.3 pH is normal in a healthy reef tank. Beyond that, check alkalinity, aeration and room CO₂ before blaming the probe.
