Red Sea ReefWave 45 Service Pack — Silicone & Plastic Wear Parts Kit R35255
Available
The Red Sea ReefWave 45 Service Pack (part R35255) gathers the wear parts of the ReefWave 45 wave pump: the silicone and plastic connectors linking the impellers to the motor, which Red Sea's manual identifies as parts that may need occasional replacement. They are also excluded from the manufacturer's warranty — like impellers and bushings, this is the normal wear of a pump running around the clock.
Red Sea's official maintenance video above shows exactly where these silicone and plastic parts sit and when to inspect them.
Red and green color-coded parts
The impellers and cages on each side of the motor are slightly different: Red Sea color-codes the rubber parts red and green so each side goes back together correctly after cleaning. The manual recommends inspecting these connectors during the monthly impeller and cage cleaning, with a motor and shaft service every 6 months.
Red Sea does not publish a detailed inventory of the bag. If you see a parts list elsewhere, it does not come from the manufacturer — write to us with the part you are looking for and we will check the kit in store before you buy.
Our advice
Always keep at least one service pack on hand: it is inexpensive, and things break without asking us first, when we least expect it. And if you are fighting an algae problem, pay extra attention — pumps clog very quickly in those conditions. Without algae they can run for months and months; with algae, check regularly that the pump is running and pushing properly.
Why buy from ReefSolution
Authorized Red Sea dealer in Canada, with in-store pickup in Laval and shipping across Canada. This kit fits only the ReefWave 45 pump. For the other wear parts of the 45, see the impeller set R35245; for the smaller pump, the ReefWave 25 Service Pack (R35254) — the two kits are not interchangeable.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I service the ReefWave 45?
Red Sea recommends cleaning the impellers and cages monthly, and the motor and ceramic shaft every 6 months. That is when you inspect the silicone and plastic parts and replace any that show wear.
My pump hums or pushes less water — is this the kit I need?
The official troubleshooting points first to a jammed object (snail, gravel, coralline algae) or organic buildup: clean the impellers and cages. If the noise persists after cleaning, check that the bushings are properly seated and that the silicone connectors are not worn — that is where the service pack comes in.
Does the 45 Service Pack fit the ReefWave 25?
No. Red Sea publishes two separate kits: R35255 for the ReefWave 45 and R35254 for the ReefWave 25.
