Red Sea R40618 EVA Mat — Replacement Mat Under the Glass Tank for MAX NANO G2 XL Aquarium

The Red Sea R40618 is the original EVA mat of the MAX NANO G2 XL. The MAX NANO tank has a bare glass bottom: the mat goes on top of the cabinet, or any other surface supporting the aquarium, before the tank is set down.

Installation

According to the Red Sea manual, the EVA mat is smaller than the aquarium. Line the glass up flush with the back of the mat and about 3 mm (1/8 in) from each side. Lifting the tank takes two people, always from the bottom.

Frequently asked questions

Should the mat stick out from under the tank?

No. Red Sea designs it smaller than the aquarium: the glass overhangs slightly on each side and lines up at the back.
