STRONTIUM
Supplement containing highly concentrated strontium. Strontium, after calcium and magnesium, is one of the most important elements needed for the growth of stony corals. Strontium promotes the formation of skeletal tissue in stony corals and significantly improves calcium absorption. It also supports the growth of soft corals. In a closed aquarium system, the skimmer and filter media remove strontium deposits from the water, so its supplement is necessary. In order to ensure that the conditions in the aquarium are as close as possible to natural conditions, the preparation has been enriched with the addition of barium, also present and important in seawater. Through appropriate proportions, Strontium effectively supplements the strontium efficiencies of aquarium water.
Dosage
10 ml of product increases the strontium level by 1 mg/l (ppm) in 100 liters (27 US gal) of water. Recommended level: 6.00 – 10.00 mg/l (ppm). Recommended dosage: 0.5 ml/100 l (27 US gal) of water per day. Remember that the maximum safe daily dose is 10 ml per 100 liters of water. If you need a higher dose, spread it out over a few days. Note that every aquarium is different and the final dosage depends on the coral and individual aquarium needs. Micronutrient deficiencies and excesses will affect aquarium inhabitants. The dosage must therefore be selected and modified based on regular water analyzes from Aquaforest Lab.
