Hikari Bio-Pure frozen baby brine shrimp is the smallest prey in the range: 40 mini cubes in a 1.75 oz (50 g) pack. It targets the mouths that are too small to take a full adult brine shrimp cube.

Numbered omegas the name never mentions
The name only says baby brine shrimp, but the recipe contains DHA oil and EPA oil: both appear in the ingredient list, right after baby brine shrimp and water. Hikari publishes both figures in its guaranteed analysis — DHA min. 1,000 mg/kg and EPA min. 500 mg/kg.
It is the second product in the brine shrimp family to carry guaranteed omega minimums. On most frozen foods that number appears nowhere at all.

Who Hikari intends it for
Freshwater and marine environments alike. The manufacturer names fry and small-mouthed fish, egg-laying and livebearing species, invertebrates, jellyfish and seahorses.
How to feed it
- For fry: as many times per day as possible, up to ten times a day.
- In a reef tank: twice daily.

What is the difference between baby brine shrimp and adult frozen brine shrimp?
Prey size first: baby brine mini cubes suit mouths too small for an adult brine shrimp cube. Then the analysis: baby brine runs min. 2.7% protein at max. 97.5% moisture, while adult Bio-Pure brine shrimp runs min. 4.0% protein at max. 92% moisture.
Is frozen baby brine shrimp good for seahorses?
Hikari names seahorses among the intended recipients, alongside fry, small-mouthed fish, egg-layers, livebearers, invertebrates and jellyfish. The manufacturer publishes no seahorse-specific ration; its only numbered instruction for a reef tank is to feed twice daily.
How often should I feed frozen baby brine shrimp?
It depends on the tank. For fry, Hikari recommends feeding as many times per day as possible, up to ten times a day. In a reef tank, twice daily.
Shipping note: frozen food ships express in an insulated cooler with ice packs. Partial or complete thawing during transit is normal — especially in summer — and does not affect the product's quality for your fish. Dry ice would cost a fortune with zero quality benefit; we don't offer it. Be there to receive your package and place it directly in your freezer upon delivery.
