The Red Sea Net Cover hanging clips are the replacement hangers for Red Sea's customizable aquarium screen top. The manufacturer designates them (C) in its parts nomenclature and sells them in a 4-pack to add support points wherever a long unsupported span starts to give.

What they're for

Every Net Cover kit ships with a hanger count fixed by its size: 4 on the 60x60 and 90x60 cm formats, 6 on the 120x80 cm, and 10 on the 150x80 and 180x80 cm. Across a long span — or once the mesh is pulled properly taut — that base count can let the frame work. Adding hangers spreads the load and keeps the profile straight.

They also serve as plain replacement parts: one clip snapped during a tank move or lost during a cleaning doesn't mean buying a whole new kit.

Our advice

Take your time. The Net Cover is a cut-it-yourself kit: go slowly. It goes together well, but it doesn't go together fast. And before you cut or drill anything, watch the tutorial all the way through — everything is shown in it.

On the cover itself: don't wait until you find a fish on the floor. Gobies, wrasses and plenty of others jump. It's not a question of "if", it's "when".
