Red Sea ReefWave 45 Impeller Cage Set — 360° Rotating Cages R35246

The Red Sea ReefWave 45 Impeller Cage Set (part R35246) is the official replacement cage set for the ReefWave 45 wave pump. The cages house the ceramic bushings the impellers spin in, shield them from intruders and steer the flow: each cage rotates 360 degrees within the mounting bracket to aim the sheet of water at your reefscape.

A/B markings and color codes

The cages on each side of the motor are slightly different — parts are color-coded red and green so everything goes back together correctly after maintenance. At installation, the manual recommends aligning the A and B markings on the cages with the ReefWave logo for a flow roughly perpendicular to the magnet. Check the ceramic bushings at every monthly cleaning: smooth and damage-free, or it is time to replace.

How often should the impeller cages be cleaned?
