Seachem Clarity is the universal water clarifier for marine and freshwater aquariums: an advanced polymeric flocculating agent that combines precipitating and flocculating agents in the same bottle, able to clear all types of clouding — bacterial bloom, suspended particles, chemical precipitation. Reef and plant safe when used as directed.

Official Seachem protocol

• Dosage: 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 L (20 US gallons).
• Repeat every 24 hours as needed.
• Have filter floss (poly-fil) or fine foam in the filter — a sponge alone may be inadequate; change it when it clogs.
• Normal: the water looks CLOUDIER in the first minutes — that's the flocculant at work. Rapid clarification follows within 1 to 2 hours.
• Clarity removes particulates only, not soluble nutrients.
• Storage: no expiration date.

Soft, unbuffered freshwater

In an unbuffered system, Clarity can lower pH: Seachem recommends starting with one quarter to one half of the dose.

Three sizes

• 100 ml — 20 doses of 5 ml.
• 250 ml — 50 doses of 5 ml, the everyday size.
• 500 ml — 100 doses of 5 ml, for big tanks or multiple aquariums.
