Aquaforest Plug Rocks 24 pcs — frag plugs for fragging grids

The Plug Rocks 24 pcs are Aquaforest's frag plugs, sized to insert directly into standard market fragging grids. Each plug has a stem base that anchors into grid holes and a porous flat head that receives the coral frag. Uniform format that lets you handle dozens of frags at once on the same grid.

24-piece pack, light natural hue compatible with most standardized 25 mm fragging grids. Ideal for propagation shops, stores selling frags individually, or aquarists managing their own coral production.

Plug Rocks use

  • Insertion: push the stem into a fragging grid hole.
  • Frag mount: glue the frag to the flat head with AFix or AF Poly Glue.
  • Labeling: the flat heads let you write permanent marker IDs for cataloging.
  • Extraction: remove the plug from the grid for main-tank transfer or sale.

Plug system advantages

  • Bulk management — dozens of frags handled simultaneously.
  • Visual uniformity — presentation calibrated for stores and sales tanks.
  • Easy handling — anchor stem avoids touching the frag directly.
  • Main-tank compatible — after sale, the plug can slide into live rock with Stone Fix.

Frequently asked questions

Are Plug Rocks compatible with all fragging grids?

Compatible with the vast majority of standardized fragging grids (25 mm between stems). Check your grid's hole diameter — reef standard is 25 mm but some older models use different sizes.

Can I use plugs directly in the aquascape without a grid?

Yes — the anchor stem can slip into a live-rock crevice or be attached with Stone Fix. Handy for transferring a frag from the grid to the final aquascape while keeping the plug base for precise placement.

How long does a plug stay usable?

Indefinitely — the plug is reusable after frag removal. Just rinse and dry before next use. Residual glue can be carefully removed or left in place if visually compatible.
