Orange Linckia Starfish

The Orange Linckia Starfish ( Linckia sp.) is a closely related morph or species of the Linckia family, displaying a characteristic bright orange to pinkish-orange uniform coloration. Like the Blue Linckia, its five elongated cylindrical arms and vibrant color make it a visually striking inhabitant of the reef tank.
Advanced species: Like all Linckia, it is recommended only for experienced aquarists with very mature tanks and a rich microbial fauna.
Requirements
- Temperature: 25–27°C, strictly stable
- Salinity: 1.025–1.026 — very sensitive to sudden changes
- pH: 7.8–8.4 (normal natural day/night fluctuation in a reef tank)
- Alkalinity: 8–9 dKH — Calcium: 400–450 ppm
- Very mature tank — minimum 18–24 months with rich microbial fauna
- Large area of colonized live rock
Food
Feeds on biofilm and microorganisms on live rock. Requires a very mature tank with an abundance of colonized rock. Supplement with specialized starfish food.
Compatibility
Harmless to corals and fish. Avoid keeping with Harlequin Shrimp (natural predators).
