PHOSGUARD™ - Anti-Phosphate and Silicate Filter Media

PhosGuard™ is a high-capacity and efficient filter media for removing phosphates and silicates from freshwater or saltwater aquariums.

SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY

Unlike competing products, PhosGuard™ comes in the form of beads to optimize exchanges in the water flow and it has exceptional porosity which increases its effectiveness.

WORK CAPACITY

Can remove the equivalent of 20–60 mg/L of phosphates in approximately 400 litres (similar effect on silicates), depending on tank conditions and organic load.

• It does not release the phosphates it has eliminated.
• Can be used continuously or in a fractional, intermittent manner.

OFFICIAL DOSAGE

Seawater: 85 mL per 200 L

Fresh water: 85 mL per 400 L

Installation: Place in a high-flow area. Rinse before use.

IMPORTANT: PhosGuard is aluminum oxide based. For reef aquariums, introduce it gradually to avoid a rapid drop in phosphates, which can stress some corals. Start with a partial dose and increase it slowly.
