Polyplab Coral Frag Glue — the cyanoacrylate gel that bonds underwater (1 or 7 tubes)

This Polyplab glue is no ordinary super glue: it's an ultra-thick cyanoacrylate gel built to firmly attach coral frags, build aquascapes, or even set whole colonies on rock. Available as a single 4 g tube for quick fixes or a 7-tube pack of 4 g each for bigger fragging sessions — you only open what you need.

Why this glue

  • Ultra-thick gel: precise application, no runs, even on uneven surfaces.
  • 8-hour working time in air: ideal for long fragging sessions.
  • Bonds underwater in 5 to 15 seconds on contact with water.
  • Positive-pressure aluminum tubes: no water backflow, you use all the glue.
  • Each tube has its own applicator; childproof ring on first use.
  • Saltwater and freshwater (aquarium plants).

How to use it

  • Apply a dab of gel to the frag or plug, out of water or directly underwater.
  • Position the coral, then hold for a few seconds while it sets.
  • Reseal the tube with its cap to preserve the gel.

Good to know

Like any gel cyanoacrylate, it's perfect for frags and small mounts, but for very large, heavy objects or high-flow areas, epoxy or mechanical anchoring is a better fit. Store tubes closed, in a cool, dry place.

Our advice

Polyplab is a Canadian company, so we like to support them — and they make good products. These little tubes are handy because you've always got one within reach. And since they're small, you use them right up — with the big tubes, most of the time you don't get through them before the glue dries in the nozzle. So with these little tubes, you use one, you do a dozen frags, and it's done — on to other things. So it's not for the compulsive fraggers; it's really for people who want to glue a piece down or do the odd frag now and then — and who want the glue to actually be fresh when they reach for it.
