Its name is as dramatic as its beauty is captivating. The Purple Death Palythoa is one of the most sought-after zoanthids in the reef hobby, sporting a deep, luminous purple enhanced by iridescent, fluorescent blue-green tentacles. Under actinic lighting, each polyp illuminates like a purple gem — a hypnotic effect that instantly transforms any reef aquarium into a living work of art.
Characteristics

Placement
Place this Palythoa on the substrate or on a low rock, in an area with moderate flow. It gradually colonizes its environment and can be easily fragged to share with other enthusiasts. Avoid direct contact with other aggressive corals.
