The Red Devil Bubble Tip Anemone is a spectacular morph of Entacmaea quadricolor , with bulbous tentacles ranging from deep red to intense burgundy. Among the most striking and sought-after morphs of the species—a remarkable focal point in any reef tank. Natural host of the clownfish Amphiprion ocellaris and A. percula .

Requirements

  • Water flow: moderate to strong, non-directional
  • Temperature: 25–27°C — Salinity: 1.025–1.026 stable
  • pH: 7.8–8.4 (normal natural day/night fluctuation in a reef tank)
  • Alkalinity: 8–9 dKH — Calcium: 400–450 ppm
  • Bac mature minimum 6 months

Behavior

It attaches itself in a well-lit rock crevice. Stinging tentacles — open space around corals. Divides by binary fission under good conditions.

Food

Feed 2–3 times per week with shrimp or specialized carnivore food.

Compatibility

Ideal with Amphiprion ocellaris , A. percula . Incompatible with butterflyfish.
