Red Sea ReefControl Lite — contrôleur aquarium récifal 2 ports ReefSense

Red Sea ReefControl Lite — Reef Aquarium Controller with 2 ReefSense Ports and pH Probe

$559.99

Available

The Red Sea ReefControl Lite is the entry point to the ReefControl reef aquarium controllers: two ReefSense ports, one 12V outlet and the ReefBeat app. With the included pH & temperature probe it monitors the two most-watched reef parameters right out of the box — and its second port stays free for a salinity probe, an ORP probe or a leak detector. It is the pick for reefers who want connected monitoring without paying for ports they won't use.

What the ReefControl Lite monitors and automates

According to the official Red Sea manual, the ReefControl Lite's ports are universal: any ReefSense probe — salinity, pH, ORP, temperature, leak detector — plugs into any port with no programming. The Lite also provides one controllable 12V DC outlet to run a cooling fan, a solenoid or a utility pump based on live sensor readings.

Everything runs in the ReefBeat app (Wi-Fi required): 24/7 monitoring, custom safe ranges, history logs and instant phone notifications the moment a parameter drifts out of range. Every ReefSense probe stores its calibration in onboard memory and calibrates over Bluetooth — you bring the probe to the sink, not the controller to the tank.

pH probe warranty and lifespan — know this before you buy

Red Sea states in its manuals that pH probes are wear items: about 12 months of continuous use, with a 6-month warranty, and a monthly recalibration done with the included solutions. The controller itself carries Red Sea's standard 24-month warranty.

What the Lite does not do on its own

The ReefControl Lite does not switch 120V equipment directly: heaters, chillers and skimmers require the ReefControl Power 8 smart power center, sold separately. And per Red Sea's official guide, the 4-port expander is not compatible with the Lite: beyond 2 probes, the ReefControl Pro takes over — your ReefSense probes move with you, calibration memory included.

Our advice

"Take control of your aquarium with the new Red Sea controllers. Red Sea didn't invent the controller: they looked at what was on the market and reinvented it better. These new controllers are much easier to program, and more options will come with time. Red Sea hit hard with this lineup — several models to match your budget and your preferences." — Stéphane, ReefSolution

Frequently asked questions

Is the ReefControl Lite enough to get started?

To monitor pH and temperature with the included probe, plus one more parameter of your choice (salinity, ORP or a leak detector), yes. That is the limit of its 2 ports — beyond that, it's the Pro.

Can I move up to the Pro later without rebuying everything?

Yes. Red Sea confirms every ReefSense probe keeps its calibration in onboard memory: probes bought for the Lite plug into a Pro with no recalibration.

Does the 4-port expander work with the Lite?

No. Red Sea states the ReefSense 4-port expander requires a ReefControl Pro. On a Lite, you stay at 2 probes.

Can the ReefControl Lite control a heater?

Not by itself. Switching 120V devices requires the ReefControl Power 8, sold separately. The Lite monitors temperature and alerts you, but automatic 120V shutoff needs the Power 8.
