The Red Sea REEFER 750 G3+ is a 198.1 US gal (750 L) reef-ready aquarium supplied with the ReefControl Pro controller and its ATO module.

The REEFER 750 G3+ replaces the G3 generation. According to Red Sea's official specifications, the REEFER 750 G3+ now ships with the ReefControl Pro controller and its automatic top-off (ATO) module with built-in temperature monitoring, plus a ReefSense pH and temperature probe. The ReefGate high-precision valve sits on the downflow pipe, and Red Sea says the redesigned plumbing delivers up to 50% more water circulation.

Why the REEFER 750 G3+ tank is built strong

Red Sea states that all REEFER G3+ models are eurobraced "for extra strength." A eurobrace is a strip of glass bonded flat around the entire top of the tank. It ties the four panels together, so the tank flexes less under water pressure and the silicone seams carry less stress. The REEFER 750 G3+ also has a bottom brace, which Red Sea calls top and bottom bracing.

The REEFER 750 G3+ ultra-clear glass is 19 mm front, 19 mm sides, 19 mm bottom and 19 mm back. Thicker glass bends less. Red Sea bonds its tanks with high-quality euro-silicone chosen for long-lasting structural integrity.

The REEFER 750 G3+ tank rests on an aluminum support on top of a reinforced marine-plywood cabinet. Models from the 625 up also have front aluminum supports inside the cabinet. With its adjustable feet, the cabinet levels precisely, so the weight is spread evenly under the tank with no pressure points.

The REEFER 750 G3+ ReefControl Pro controller

The ReefControl Pro supplied with the Red Sea REEFER 750 G3+ supports up to 7 ReefSense probes and sensors and two 12 V DC devices. Red Sea notes that the controller accepts the full range of ReefSense probes and sensors as well as the ReefControl Power strip. The REEFER 750 G3+ ATO module replaces evaporated water in the pump section and holds the water level constant, which keeps the whole circulation system stable.

Both are 180 cm long, with 19 mm glass and top and bottom bracing. The REEFER-S 850 G3+ has a taller, deeper tank (680 L versus 600 L, 65 cm tall versus 60 cm, 68 cm deep versus 65 cm). It sits on an aluminum super-structure instead of a marine-plywood cabinet and adds a slide-out control panel. Both ship with the ReefControl Pro and the ATO module.

REEFER 625 G3+ or 750 G3+: what is the difference?

The 750 is longer: 180 cm versus 150 cm, for 750 L versus 620 L in total. Its glass is 19 mm all around, including the bottom (15 mm bottom on the 625), and its return outlets go up to 32 mm. Both have the ReefControl Pro, top and bottom bracing and front aluminum supports in the cabinet.

What is the difference between the REEFER G3 and G3+?
