Our mounting tips

• Never bring the two magnets together face to face. Put one inside the tank and one outside, offset from each other, then slide them until they meet. Brought straight together, they snap shut hard enough to crack the glass.
• Check that no sand grain is trapped under the magnet. That is what scratches the glass when you reposition the rack.
• Look at where your flow goes before choosing a spot. Direct flow onto the rack will send your frags flying.
• Raise or lower the rack gradually for lighting. A fresh frag dropped straight under full light takes a hit — let it acclimate by moving the rack up in stages.

Where should I put my frag rack in the display tank?

Pick a spot where flow does not hit the rack head-on, or your frags will end up on the sandbed. For lighting, raise the rack in stages rather than putting a fresh frag straight under full intensity.

Why use a frag rack instead of setting frags on the sand?

Per Reef Casa, the anchoring system grips the plug so fish, inverts and heavy current cannot topple it — which the manufacturer credits with cutting coral stress. The open branching design also keeps water moving around each frag.
