The new SQ-420x intelligent quantum sensor can be connected directly to a computer for spot measurements or to plot graphs and record real-time PPFD data using the included software. The sensor can also function as a standalone PAR data logger by simply connecting it to a standard 5V DC USB power supply. The sensor's internal memory can store 10,000 user-specified periodic measurements, which can be downloaded as a CSV file to a computer for analysis.
Application
The SQ-420 is used to measure PPFD entering and reflected around plants and other organisms in outdoor environments, greenhouses, growth chambers and underwater. Intelligent USB PAR Quantum Sensor
The versatile SQ-420 can be used in two ways: it can be connected directly to a computer for real-time measurements and data logging using the supplied software, or it can be connected to a standard USB power source and operate as a standalone data logger capable of storing 10,000 periodic measurements internally that can be later downloaded to a computer for analysis.
Internal Data Storage
The sensor has internal data storage capacity, capable of retaining up to 10,000 measurements. This allows the sensor to collect data when connected to a self-contained 5V DC power supply, such as an independent battery or a USB wall adapter.
No Data Logger Required
The sensor can be connected to a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet via a USB 2.0 Type-A port for use with the Apogee software. The included Apogee software gives the user control over data logging and calibration parameters, provides a real-time display and graph of PPFD measurements, and allows saving the entire dataset as a CSV file.
Independent Calibration
The SQ-420 is independently calibrated for sunlight and artificial light to improve measurement accuracy. Light source calibration can be selected in the Apogee software settings menu.
