Why choose Aquaforest at ReefSolution

Frequently asked questions

Why pick purple rocks over white?

The purple hue mimics the natural color of reef rocks colonized by coralline algae, which turn pink or violet over time. On a mature tank, purple rock blends into the aquascape without standing out against colonized live rock.

Can the purple color fade over time?

The hue is built into the rock and doesn't wash out. Live coralline colonization can reinforce the pink over months, or dampen it during a biological bleaching event — a normal phenomenon reflecting tank biological maturity.

How many frags can I mount per piece?

1 to 3 frags depending on size — one individual SPS or 2-3 zoas depending on diameter. On larger LPS propagations, one piece per frag is the rule.
