With an enlarged bubble diffuser and reaction chamber, the new HOB-1.5 is able to fully harness the power of the Shark 1.0 pump to maximize foam production and protein extraction. Custom conical bubble diffusers help minimize turbulence inside the reaction chamber and help direct water linearly toward the collection cup. More waste than ever before is removed from your aquarium and placed in the easy-to-remove collection cup.

EASE OF USE
AquaMaxx HOB-1.5 protein skimmers are easy to install and maintain. Simply move the collection cup up or down to adjust the foam level to wet or dry.

Maintenance is simple. A removable collection cup makes cleaning easy. Additionally, each AquaMaxx protein skimmer includes a drain fitting for hobbyists who want to install a separate tank for the skimmer.

COMPACT DESIGN

PERFORMANCE
AquaMaxx HOB-1.5 skimmers are equipped with high quality Sicce pumps made in Italy. Each Sicce pump motor block is then modified and fitted with exclusive AquaMaxx needle wheels. With precise modifications and upgrades, performance is improved far beyond that of a stock pump. The improved AquaMaxx “Shark” pump is able to draw in significantly more air and chop it down to the optimal bubble size for protein extraction. These pump and protein skimmer combinations offer unprecedented performance and reliability. Built-up protein and organic matter will be vigorously removed from your aquarium so you can focus less on maintenance and more on enjoying your piece of reef.
