Indisponible

1.2 lb bag of DI mixed bed resin with color change indicator

1.2 lb (≈ 1.25 lb) bag of DI mixed bed resin with a color-change indicator, designed for refilling DI cartridges. Premium resin producing ultra-pure 0 TDS water for reef aquariums, with a clear visual signal when depleted. Ideal for RO/DI systems that demand the highest water purity, with no waste or guesswork.

📏 Specifications

  • Weight: 1.2 lb (≈ 1.25 lb / approximately 545 g)
  • Type: Cation/anion mixed bed resin
  • Indicator: Color change
  • Quality: High-performance premium resin

🎯 Main function

  • DI cartridge refill: replace the depleted resin in a standard 10" x 2.5" refillable cartridge
  • Ultra-pure water with 0 TDS: eliminates the last dissolved ions after the RO membrane, for water suitable for SPS, LPS, soft corals, giant clams and other sensitive invertebrates
  • Visual indicator: the resin changes color when it is used up, allowing you to know exactly when to refill. The manufacturer specifies that the resin contains a dye to signal depletion, ensuring easy monitoring.

✅ Key Benefits

  • Economical: less expensive than regularly buying disposable DI cartridges. The cartridge is refilled with resin from the sachet.
  • Convenient: approximately 1.2 lb bag, perfect for multiple refills depending on the cartridge size and water quality.
  • Premium performance: High-quality cation/anion mixed bed resin, suitable for a wide spectrum of ion exchange, useful in various aquarium settings.
  • Easy-to-read color indicator: allows for precise replacement without systematic electronic testing, while maintaining the reliability of near-zero TDS water
  • Standard compatibility: works with standard 10" x 2.5" refillable DI cartridges, used in many reef RO/DI systems

🔧 Usage

  1. Open the refillable DI cartridge
  2. Empty the exhausted or used resin
  3. Fill with the new resin from the sachet
  4. Close the cartridge, reconnect the device, and then check the TDS; the output should remain around 0–1 ppm if the pre-filter and RO are in good condition.

💡 Tips and best practices

  • Storage: Keep the bag closed in a dry place to preserve the quality of the resin
  • Note: Keep an extra sachet to refill immediately as soon as the resin changes color
  • Depends on the context: the usage time varies according to the volume of water produced, the quality of the incoming RO water, and the frequency of system use.
  • Recommended prefiltration: to extend the resin's lifespan and guarantee ultrapure water for longer, use a good sediment and/or GAC prefilter before the DI, in order to reduce chlorine, particles and residual organic matter.

💧 Ideal for

  • Refill cartridges DI 10" x 2.5" for reef aquariums
  • RO/DI systems designed for the regular production of ultrapure water
  • For aquarists concerned with economy, reliable performance and simple maintenance
