Polyplab Genesis Rock Power Rack with 4 Rocks — compact biological filtration

The Genesis Rock Power Rack is an organizer designed to hold up to four Genesis Rock blocks and add a huge amount of bacterial colonization surface without crowding your system. This full version includes the rack and its four ceramic blocks, ready to filter.

What's in the kit

  • 1 Power Rack organizer (stackable)
  • 4 Genesis Rock porous ceramic blocks (sintered beads, 4 × 4 × ⅞ in each)
  • Water flow deflectors to fine-tune water movement

Why this system

  • Colossal bacterial surface: each block provides over 1,000 m² (up to 11,000 sq ft) of surface — four blocks per rack.
  • Compact footprint: tucks into a sump, an overflow box, or the filter section of an all-in-one.
  • Aerobic or anaerobic, your choice: the included flow deflectors let you tune circulation to favor one or the other (nitrite and ammonia removal in oxygenated areas, nitrate reduction in low-flow areas).
  • Zero-leach ceramic: 100% ceramic fired above 600 °F, inert, no dust or silicates.
  • Stackable racks to add capacity in a small space.

Capacity

Each Genesis Rock block handles up to 350 gallons for a standard bioload — up to 1,400 gallons with all four blocks. Heavily stocked tanks (predator tanks, for example) will benefit from extra coverage.

Setup

  • Rinse the blocks with purified water (or aquarium water) before installing.
  • Place the rack in a good-flow area of your sump, overflow, or filter section.
  • Add or remove the flow deflectors depending on the type of bacteria you want.
  • For a faster start, seed the blocks with a bacteria such as Polyplab RF Genesis.

FAQ

What's included in this version?

The Power Rack organizer, four Genesis Rock ceramic blocks, and water flow deflectors.

Where do I place the Power Rack?

In a good-flow area: a sump, overflow box, or the filter section of an all-in-one. The racks are stackable if you're short on space.

Aerobic or anaerobic?

Both are possible depending on flow: high, oxygenated flow favors aerobic bacteria (ammonia and nitrite), low flow favors anaerobic bacteria (nitrate reduction). Adjust with the included deflectors.
