The manufacturer tells you what belongs in each tier

It's rare for a manufacturer to go that far, so here is their recommendation as given:

• Top tier — filter floss. You pull your tank's original floss plate and put the House Keeper in its place.
• Middle tier — Reef Casa recommends its own activated carbon.
• Bottom tier — Reef Casa recommends its Bacteria Hotel Blocks.

Both lower tiers take a wide range of media — a recommendation, not a requirement. Mechanical on top, chemical in the middle, biological at the bottom: standard filtration logic, except all three now fit inside a nano chamber.

The baffles are the technical point

An ordinary media basket lets water slip around whatever sits inside it. Reef Casa shaped its baffles to drive water through every tier instead of past them; the manufacturer describes the design as maximizing flow through each chamber. The baffles slide out and the top and middle shelves lift away — you set it up around whichever media you run, and cleaning happens piece by piece.

Which size fits my aquarium?

The Mini measures 3" x 2.5" x 5" high and fits Pico tanks, the Frag series and the Tide. Reef Casa sells other sizes for its larger models; purchase is made according to the aquarium model. Not sure which you run? Write to us with your exact tank model and we'll confirm before you order.

Do I have to remove my original filter floss plate?

Yes. The manufacturer's instruction is to take the floss plate out of the tank and set the loaded House Keeper in its place.

Do the tiers come apart for cleaning?

The top and middle shelves lift out, and the baffles slide. Reef Casa presents this as serving both configuration flexibility and cleaning.
