Installation and Programming

Insert 2 AA batteries into the back compartment of the Snack Shack. Attach the feeder to the rim of your aquarium using the included mounting clamp, positioning the dispensing opening above the water surface. Fill the reservoir with flakes or pellets (100 ml capacity). Set the current time, then program the number of daily meals (1 to 4) and dispensing times via the LCD screen. Adjust the food quantity per meal by rotating the opening of the rotating reservoir. Test with manual mode to ensure the correct amount is dispensed before letting the feeder operate automatically.

Does the Snack Shack work with frozen food?

No. The Snack Shack is designed for dry foods only: flakes and pellets. Frozen food (mysis, brine shrimp) cannot be used in an automatic feeder as it requires thawing and would decompose in the reservoir.

How long do AA batteries last in the Snack Shack?

With normal use (2 meals per day), the 2 AA batteries last several months. The rotating mechanism consumes very little power. Check the battery level before a long trip to avoid an interruption in feeding.

Can the Snack Shack be mounted on a rimless aquarium?
