Component C 200ml — Aquaforest Balling Magnesium Nano Reef
Indisponible
Aquaforest Component C 200 ml — magnesium for nano reefs on the Balling method
The Component C 200 ml ships Aquaforest's Balling magnesium solution in a nano 200 ml bottle. Identical formula to the 2 L and 5 L versions — magnesium, Reef Mineral Salt, potassium, and boron — but packaged for nano reefs, frag propagation tanks, and one-off top-ups. It completes the Balling trio (A + B + C) in Aquaforest's smallest available format.
Used at the strict 1:1:1 ratio with Components A and B, it holds magnesium stable on very small reef tanks.
Which tanks fit the 200 ml
- Pico and nano reefs 20-50 L — slow consumption that would leave a 2 L sitting too long.
- Separate frag tanks — targeted dosing on a reduced volume.
- Temporary top-up — if a 2 L Component C bottle empties before A and B.
- Hobbyist testing the Balling trio before graduating to 2 L.
Official dosing
- Starting dose (average SPS stock): 25 ml per 100 L of tank water per day.
- Effect: 25 ml in 100 L raises Mg by about 0.38 ppm.
- 1:1:1 balance: same amount for Components A and B.
- Spread: distribute over 24 h via dosing pump.
Official composition
- Magnesium (Mg)
- Reef Mineral Salt
- Potassium (K)
- Boron (B)

Why choose Aquaforest at ReefSolution
- Component C 2,000 ml — the 2 L format to switch to once consumption exceeds 200 ml per month.
- Component A 2,000 ml — the calcium to dose in equal shares in the Balling trio.
- Component 3in1 500 ml — the single-bottle alternative for nanos avoiding three separate doses.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a 200 ml bottle last on a 30 L nano?
At 25 ml per 100 L per day, a 30 L nano draws 7.5 ml daily and a 200 ml bottle lasts about 26 days. For a 20 L pico, duration stretches to 40 days.
Is the 200 ml economically worthwhile vs the 2 L?
The per-ml price of the 200 ml runs higher than the 2 L. It stays relevant for very small volumes that wouldn't finish a 2 L before expiration, or for a first trial before commitment.
What if Component C runs out before A and B?
Immediately cut A and B doses to the remaining C level while waiting for restock. Dosing A + B without C drops magnesium, which unbalances the Ca/Mg ratio and eventually triggers harmful carbonate precipitation.
