Fully synthetic sea salt created for aquaculture corals. This formula is designed to create the best conditions for marine animals. The micronutrients and macronutrients contained in Aquaforest Reef Salt meet the needs of corals for growth and pigmentation. After dissolving the salt, your freshly prepared seawater can be used immediately. The salt mixture is enriched with amino acids and vitamin C. The addition of vitamin C promotes growth and has positive effects on the general health of all aquarium inhabitants.
Easy preparation and immediate use of freshly prepared seawater
Preparation: Dissolve the salt in previously prepared demineralized water. The water temperature should be approximately 24 °C (75 °F). For a salinity of 33 ppt (1.025 SG), dissolve approximately 390 g (13.75 oz) in 10 L (2.7 US gal) of water. Stir the solution vigorously for approximately 15 minutes. Once the salt is completely dissolved and the solution is clear, the salt water is ready to use. Store the salt in a dry, dark place. Once dissolved, use the salt within 5 days. Evaporation can change the water parameters, so store freshly mixed salt water in an airtight container if you are not using it immediately. You should recheck the salinity of your salt water before use if you are storing it for a few days. This product is intended for use in aquariums only. Not suitable for human consumption. How is our sea salt product line tested?
We blend our sea salt in batches of 1 metric ton (2204 lbs) and 3 separate samples per batch are taken during the production stage for testing. Each of these samples is dissolved in 15 liters (4 US gal) of reverse osmosis water. Our experienced team of professionals performs an ICP-OES analysis to verify that the chemical composition is within a consistent range and at the same time to exclude the presence of unwanted contaminants. Note: Even though our salt is carefully blended, not all buckets/boxes will be identical. Parameters may vary slightly from container to container and a variation of approximately 2-3% is acceptable. This fluctuation is a result of both the physical properties of the blend and the limitations of the available processing techniques. These variations are always less than the typical margin of error of popular hobbyist test kits.
