Cerith snails

Cerith snails ( Cerithium spp.) are essential bottom cleaners in reef aquariums. These small, elongated, spiraled cone-shaped snails partially bury themselves in the sand to consume algae, cyanobacteria, diatoms, and decaying organic matter where other cleaners cannot reach.

Specialized substrate cleaners — complementary to Turbo and Astrea (surface cleaners). They agitate and oxygenate the surface of the sand, preventing anoxic zones. A balanced cleaning pack combines both types.

1 per 2–4L of sandy substrate for efficient mixing.
