Diodon eydouxii - Blue Pelagic Porcupine Puffer

The Diodon eydouxii, commonly known as the Porcupinefish, is a fascinating and endearing species that will captivate all eyes in your marine aquarium. Recognizable by its characteristic spines and its ability to inflate itself when threatened, this fish with a strong personality is a true jewel of the reefs.

Robust and relatively easy to feed, it quickly accepts frozen foods and meaty preparations (shrimp, mussels, squid). It requires a large aquarium due to its adult size and territorial temperament.

⚠️ Please note: Diodon eydouxii is not compatible with invertebrates (corals, shrimp, sea urchins) which it will consume. It is recommended to keep it with robust fish of similar size.
