In fact, this product isn't crushed at all; it's a natural product that is custom-screened. The incredibly natural substrate provides spectacular color and texture to your aquarium environment and blends well with fine reef sand, giving creatures such as jawworms, blennies, and burrowing crustaceans the opportunity to dig, burrow, and create their own unique homes. Because the Caribbean Crushed Coral substrate is so coarse, it's an excellent choice for systems with undergravel filtration or where high pH levels are required. The substrate has been intentionally designed and is free of impurities such as ash, metals, pesticides, and silica, allowing you to create a safe and beautiful environment for your fish and invertebrates.
