Unlike luminaires manufactured using surface mount technology (SMD), manufacturers can only source ready-made LED spectra from various LED chip suppliers (such as Cree, OSRAM, Bridgelux, Osram, etc.).

Due to the limited spectrum selection, a luminaire's spectrum may only have several peaks of varying intensity, rather than being designed to form a broad, continuous spectrum like that of natural sunlight, such as the broad peaks of blue and white light.

ZOOX's proprietary dense chip technology allows us to achieve a homogeneous blue light spectrum, marking a major breakthrough in the aquarium lighting industry. Our blue channel spectrum perfectly covers the following wavelengths: 390 nm, 420 nm, 430 nm, 440 nm, 450 nm, 460 nm, 470 nm, and 480 nm. Our white channel spectrum perfectly covers the following wavelengths: 360 nm up to 740 nm (NIR).

Our initial goal was therefore to pioneer the development of a complete blue and white spectrum, offering a wide range of wavelengths to promote optimal growth of corals and other marine organisms, allowing them to display more vibrant colors.

Equipped with advanced LED chips reproducing broadband marine blue and 14,000K sunlight, including the 395-480nm range, to bring out true colors, optimize coral fluorescence and promote growth.
