Tunze has long been recognized for its automatic filling systems and, like its predecessors, the Osmolator 3 includes everything you need for installation (except the ATO tank) with no software setup required.
With its optical and thermal sensors, it provides precise water level control and protection against overfilling, all in a compact design. Designed to be versatile, it can be placed in the return section of the sump or on the edge of the aquarium, depending on your setup.
The optical sensor
The large, precise optical sensor detects the water level with an accuracy of 0.5 mm and is resistant to air bubbles, deposits and scratches. The independent thermal safety sensor stops the ATO pump in the event of overfilling. The sensor's strong magnetic backing is compatible with sumps/aquariums up to 15mm (0.59") thick. The protective cap helps prevent curious creatures from reaching the sensor.
The ATO pump
Each Osmolator 3 comes with a Turbelle High Jet pump to move water from your ATO tank to the aquarium or sump. This durable pump has an impressive maximum head height, being able to pump just over 20 feet vertically. Protection against dry running and blocking is integrated.
