Available
Polyplab Reef Primer — the anti-pest coral dip in 9 g, 45 g and 180 g
Polyplab Reef Primer is the potassium-salt dipping solution that clears corals and frags of pests and hitchhikers before introduction. Available as a single-dose 9 g pouch to prep the dip for one coral, a standard 45 g jar for the occasional dip, and a bulk 180 g jar (4 × 45 g doses) for reefers who dip often: frequent arrivals, frag swaps, stores or active hobbyists.

Our advice
If you've got pests in your aquariums — for dipping corals, for cleaning them — the most effective one I've personally ever used is really Reef Primer. Reef Primer is gentle on corals: they actually expand in it. Unlike a lot of dips that stress corals — they come out all twisted, and if you leave them too long they'll just about die — in Reef Primer the coral truly expands, and it's absolutely lethal to most pests, unwanted invertebrates, that kind of thing. So Reef Primer, for me, is the best one, period.

FAQ
How do I dose Polyplab Reef Primer?
Per Polyplab: 45 g (or 8 caps full) in 1 gallon (4 L) of tank water, fully dissolved. Dip corals for a maximum of 5 minutes, water agitated, then place them directly into the aquarium. The 180 g size gives 4 full dips.
What's the difference between the 9 g pouch, the 45 g and the 180 g?
Same formula throughout: the 9 g pouch is the single dose for one coral, the 45 g covers one full one-gallon dip, and the 180 g is the bulk format (4 × 45 g doses), more economical if you dip often.
Can I pour Reef Primer straight into the tank?
Never. Reef Primer is for dipping only, outside the tank. Do not add it directly to your main aquarium.
