More than a simple cycling product

Most cycling products only supply the bacteria that convert toxic waste into nitrate. According to Red Sea, this kit completes the process by also establishing colonies of anoxic bacteria — the denitrifying and phosphate-harboring kind — and by creating the conditions that promote coralline algae and the microfauna of live rock and sand beds. The target: full nitrification plus nitrate and phosphate reduction, not just an ammonia cycle.
