REEF BUFFER™ - pH Control for Reef Aquariums

Seachem's Reef Buffer™ is primarily intended for reef aquariums where maintaining a stable pH is consistently challenging. When used as directed, Reef Buffer™ helps achieve a pH of 8.3 without dangerously exceeding the target pH level.

WHY A STABLE pH IS ESSENTIAL

The natural target pH for seawater is around 8.25–8.30. Reef Buffer helps stabilize around 8.3 when pH drops in reefs, thus promoting coral growth and overall reef health.

OFFICIAL DOSAGE

Recommended dose: 5 g per 150 L increases pH by approximately +0.1 and alkalinity by approximately +0.5 meq/L. Dissolve in approximately 250 mL of fresh water before adding to the aquarium.

IMPORTANT: Do not overdose. Do not exceed an alkalinity of 6 meq/L. Do not mix directly with calcium, magnesium, or strontium supplements.

Use the MultiTest: Marine pH & Alkalinity™ to check pH and total alkalinity.

FORMAT

One 500g bottle treats 16,000 litres. Powder format.

IDEAL FOR

Reef aquariums with unstable pH or difficulty maintaining pH in the range of 8.25-8.30. Perfect for hard corals (SPS, LPS) and soft corals requiring a stable pH.
