In a marine aquarium strontium plays an important role in accelerating the growth of corals and calcareous algae. Natural seawater contains approximately 7 - 9 mg/L strontium.

It is recommended to maintain a strontium concentration between 5 and 20 mg/L.

Salifert Strontium Test Kit measures free strontium in levels of 5 mg/L.

Sufficient for up to 40 trials.
