AI Prime Tank Mount Black – Brushed Aluminum Rimless/Rimmed Mount - AquaIllumination

The AI Prime Tank Mount is AquaIllumination's rim mount for Prime fixtures. Black brushed aluminum, integrated ball joint, and two adjustable arms that let you place the light exactly where it needs to be. AquaIllumination describes it as an elegant mounting solution on both rimmed and rimless tanks.

The light is not included. This mount sells separately because no Prime ships with mounting hardware.

The Ball Joint Is the Point

This is what separates it from a plain bracket. The ball joint lets you tilt and turn the Prime after installation, without unscrewing anything. You adjust with the light on, watching where the beam actually lands.

In practice it does three things: aims light at your corals instead of the wall, cuts spill outside the tank, and moves glare out of your line of sight when you're sitting in front of it.

Does the AI Prime Tank Mount work with the Prime Fuge?

Yes. The Prime Fuge, Prime 16HD Reef, and Prime 16HD Freshwater all share the same 4.88 x 4.88in. housing. All Prime mounting hardware fits all three. It won't fit Hydra or Blade fixtures though — those lines have their own systems.

What rim thickness does the Tank Mount handle?
